Computer Basics, Scam Identification and Prevention, Hardware Basics, Artificial Intelligence, and overall increasing Digital Literacy across Rowan County. By offering diverse technological education and
services we empower individuals to develop valuable skills. This comprehensive approach enhances
immediate learning opportunities and significantly boosts long-term career
prospects in the ever-evolving tech industry.
Classes are $30 per person per class. Sign up early to get our early bird discount and pay only $25!

Computer Basics
This is a great class for anyone that isn't very familiar with using a computer. We will talk about the basics of how to navigate your computer, how to browse the web, set up shortcuts, apply personalization, configure user accounts, and how to use anti-virus software. We will also discuss common programs and useful websites.
How to avoid scams/viruses
This class will help you spot and avoid scam emails, posts, phone calls, etc. We will go through some real world examples of different scams local people have been victims of to help you stay protected. We will discuss security updates, anti-virus, VPNs and how to identify if someone has accessed your computer.
AI/LLM-
basics and usefullness
Learn about Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Large Language Models (LLMs). We will discuss common websites that are available to be used and how you can make AI work for you. We will discuss the limitations of AI and how you can spot AI generated images, videos, and audio.
Computer Hardware- Hands on
You will learn hands on about the various hardware components inside of a computer including how to identify the parts, what each component’s function is and how they work together.
